A washing machine according to the present invention comprises: an outer tub provided inside a cabinet and storing washing water; a side wall member rotatably provided inside the outer tub and accommodating laundry therein; a tub base coupled to a lower end of the side wall member, and having a washing water inlet hole and a communicating hole, which are spaced from each other along the height direction thereof; a guide member coupled to a bottom surface of the tub base and provided so as to allow the washing water inlet hole and the communicating hole to communicate with each other at an outer side of the tub base; and a washing water raising passage formed to extend along the height direction of the side wall member, and formed to communicate with the guide member through the communicating hole.
