PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage chair allowing a user to use the massage chair always in the relaxed state, and applying appropriate treatment to regions to be treated such as hands and arms of the user at appropriate positions according to the angle of reclining of a backrest part.
SOLUTION: The massage chair 1a has the backrest part 12a which can be brought up or down in the rear part of a seat part 11a. An armrest part 5a on each side of the seat part 11a is divided into an erected wall 501a on the lower part and a movable armrest part 502a located above the erected wall 501a. The movable armrest part 502a has a recess part 52a into which the hand or arm of the user can be placed and inserted and an arm massaging mechanism 51a in which an inflatable/deflatable bag 4a is disposed. A sliding body 7a is interposed between the upper front of the erected wall 501a and the lower front of the movable armrest part 502a, and the rear part of the movable armrest part 502a is pivotally attached to each side part of the backrest part 12a, so that the movable armrest part 502a is oscillatable. The movable armrest part 502a of each armrest part 5a follows the upward/downward motion of the backrest part 12a.
