A casket and method for manufacture of a casket is described, and moreparticularly, for a casket having walls constructed of fiberboard such asmedium densityfiberboard (MDF). The walls have outside cladding of MDF that is molded orextrudedto provide surface contours such as raised and/or recessed features withouthaving toattach such features as separate trim pieces to the walls. The resultingcasket providesaesthetic characteristics and strength for use in funeral ceremonies.
