Systems and methods are provided for treating patients with psychogenic shock conditions. An intrahematologic cardiac pump system is inserted into the patient's vascular structure. The cardiac pump system has a cannula, a pump outlet, a pump inlet, and a rotor. The cardiac pump system is positioned within the patient such that the cannula extends across the patient's aortic valve, the pump inlet is located inside the patient's left ventricle, and the pump outlet is located inside the patient's aorta. Data related to the time-varying parameters of the cardiac pump system are obtained from the cardiac pump system. Multiple features are extracted from the data. The patient's probability of survival is determined using a predictive model based on a plurality of features.
