The invention relates to a multi-layer structure, comprising: at least one flexible carrier layer; at least one electrically insulating layer; and at least one electrically conductive layer, the electrically insulating layer being arranged between the carrier layer and the electrically conductive layer and being connected to the carrier layer and to the electrically conductive layer, at least the carrier layer being extendable by at least 0.5% and comprising a shape-memory material, which is adapted to transferring restoring forces for healing cracks in the electrically insulating layer.
