PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine for inserting sweet potato seedlings, capable of planting sweet potato seedlings to grow sweet potatoes well without injuring the seedlings.SOLUTION: The machine for inserting sweet potato seedlings is designed to transport a sweet potato seedling 50 to the vicinity of a planting mechanism 7 with a seedling feeding mechanism 8, grasp a stem end part with a pair of left and right planting claws 12a and 12b to take out the seedling 50, shake the planting claws 12a and 12b in the vertical directions, thrust the planting claws 12a and 12b into the field and thereby perform planting operation, wherein the pair of the left and right planting claws 12a and 12b are composed so as to open and close with a claw opening and closing mechanism, the trajectory of the planting claws 12a and 12b in taking out the seedlings is almost perpendicularly cross the stem end part, trajectory in thrusting to the field till the lowest point is inclined so that the front side is higher and the rear side is lower, and the sweet potato seedling 50 is planted to keep a main stem 50b in an inclined condition so that the front side is higher and the rear side is lower.COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT【課題】甘藷苗を傷めることなく、甘藷の良好に生育するように植え込めるようにする。【解決手段】甘藷苗50を苗供給機構8によって植込機構7の近傍まで搬送し、茎端部を左右一対の植込爪12a・12bで掴んで苗取を行い、該植込爪12a・12bを上下方向に揺動させ、植込爪12a・12bを圃場に突入させることで、植込み作業を行う甘藷挿苗機において、前記左右一対の植込爪12a・12bは、爪開閉機構20により開閉する構成とするとともに、植込爪12a・12bの苗取時における軌跡は、茎端部と略直交させ、圃場へ突入して最下点までの軌跡は、前高後低に傾斜させ、甘藷苗50の主茎50bが前高後低の斜めに傾けて寝かせた状態に植込む。【選択図】図5
