PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system for an electronic fence, which secures safety to the human body, is operated at a low power consumption, and sufficiently has electric shock effects on animals.SOLUTION: When an animal, or the like, is contacted with the electric fence 20 and an electric current at or above a prescribed value flows from a capacitor C12, the electric current is detected by an electric current detection circuit 13 and a control unit 15 makes a high-voltage generating circuit 11 charge the capacitor C12 on the base of the detection. Consequently, the capacitor C12 is charged in a short period, when an animal, or the like, is in contact with the electric fence 20 and the capacitor C12 is charged in such a long period as to compensate natural electric discharge in cases except that. For this reason, a useless power consumption in standby is suppressed.
