A portable container, which contains a lower container body (20) for storing a liquid, and an upper container body (22, 24) detachably connected to the lower container body. The upper container body (24) is adapted to store solid substance. The upper container body further contains a user-configurable opening device (32, 42) which is switchable between a first state and a second state. In the first state the opening device prevents the solid substance in the upper container body (24) from falling into the lower container body (20). In the second state the opening device allows the solid substance to fall into the lower container body (20) in order to mix with the liquid.
