In addition, the root plant cultivation system comprises: an expandable cultivation bed configured to provide, as an alarm, information necessary for growth of a plant by using state information including at least one of temperature, humidity, insolation, air pollution, and a moisture content of cultivated soil in the container in which the plant is planted； and a user terminal communicatively connected with the expandable cultivation bed on the basis of IoT, and configured to receive unique identification information regarding the plant from the expandable cultivation bed and transmit cultivation information regarding the plant to the expandable cultivation bed by using the unique identification information. The expandable cultivation bed includes: a bottom plate； and a side plate coupled to the bottom plate and disposed on a side surface, wherein the side plate is formed in a square shape, and a length of a side coupled to the bottom plate is longer than a circumference of the bottom plate so that at least a part of the side plate overlaps the other part of the side plate. Strips are attached to one side of the side plate, and cutting portions are formed in the other side of the side plate.
