The present disclo include a synergistic combination of azoxystrobin, thiamethoxam and carbendazim. The present disclosure further relates to a method of protecting a legume crop from attack by seed-borne and soil-borne fungal pathogens and/or asure relates to a synergistic plant protection composition which is capable of protecting plants, especially legume crop plants, from attack by various fungal pathogens and/or agricultural insect pests. In an embodiment, the plant protection composition of the present disclosure cangricultural insect pests without adversely affecting root nodulation rhizobium bacteria.
