The potato-digger comprises a wheeled frame with a digging working body in the form of a plow share with cutting edges. Above the working body a beater and a drive are located. The rear part of the plow share is rigidly connected with a screen. The plow share and the screen vary linearly pistonwise. The slope angle of the plow share to the horizontal is 30°. The slope angle of the screen to the horizontal is 20°. Above the plow share the first paddle beater is mounted. The axis of the first paddle beater is mounted in a transverse plane perpendicular to the plow share plane. The beater paddles touch the surface of the plow share at maximum lifting of the plow share. The projection of the axis of the shaft of the first paddle beater to the plow share is 2/3 of the plough-point. Above the screen, a second paddle beater is mounted. The axis of the second paddle beater is mounted in a transverse plane perpendicular to the screen plane. The paddles of the second beater touch the surface of the screen at maximum lifting of the screen. The projection of the axis of the shaft of the second paddle beater to screen is at a distance of half the length of the screen.
