PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for easily performing measurement of a visual dynamic range which contributes to evaluation of photophobia or the like or a measurement method of a visual dynamic range capable of executing easily the measurement thereof.SOLUTION: A visual dynamic range measurement device of the invention comprises control means for controlling display means 2 and input means 4, in which the display means 2 displays a gradation target 20 which is a target in which brightness gradually changes from a brightest part to a darkest part, the input means 4 receives at least one of an input of a brightest part supposition boundary which is a boundary between a part which is supposed so that appearance is same to that in the brightest part for a subject, and a part which is not supposed so that appearance is same to that in the brightest part for a subject, and an input of a darkest part supposition boundary which is a boundary between a part which is supposed so that appearance is same to that in the darkest part for a subject and a part which is not supposed so that appearance is same to that in the darkest part, in the gradation target 20, and the control means calculates a visual dynamic range measurement value based on at least one of the position of the brightest part supposition boundary and the position of the darkest part supposition boundary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2【課題】羞明等の評価につながる視覚ダイナミックレンジの計測を容易に行える装置、ないしは簡単に実行可能である視覚ダイナミックレンジの計測方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の視覚ダイナミックレンジ計測装置は、表示手段2及び入力手段4を制御する制御手段を備えており、表示手段2は、最明部から最暗部にかけて段階的に明度が変化する視標であるグラデーション視標20を表示し、入力手段4は、グラデーション視標20のうち、被験者において最明部と同じ見え方であると想定される部分とそうでない部分の境界である最明部想定境界の入力、及び被験者において最暗部と同じ見え方であると想定される部分とそうでない部分の境界である最暗部想定境界の入力、のうちの少なくとも一方を受け付け、制御手段は、最明部想定境界の位置及び前記最暗部想定境界の位置のうちの少なくとも一方に基づいて、視覚ダイナミックレンジ計測値を算出する。【選択図】図2
