PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper in which a fastening force of a part around the waist is improved especially in a back side part, so that the back side part hardly loosens, and hardly causes leakage.
SOLUTION: A shorts type disposable diaper 1A has elastic areas E on an abdominal side part A and the back side part B respectively and a pair of side seal parts 4, 4 formed by joining both side edge parts 3a, 3a of the abdominal side part A and both side edge parts 3b, 3b of the back side part B respectively. In the diaper 1A, a back side non-elastic part 6b whose elasticity is canceled is disposed in the elastic area E of the back side part B. The back side non-elastic part 6b is formed inside an area Tb in the width direction corresponding to a part ranging from a third lumber vertebra 7a to a fifth lumber vertebra 7b of a wearer when wearing the shorts type disposable diaper 1A.
