PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device and a remote control system for suppressing a decrease in efficiency of medical treatment and nursing work due to operation of medical equipment. In a remote control device 1, a memory 13 stores gesture information corresponding to a gesture of a medical staff assigned to a function of a medical device 2. The sensor 11 can detect a gesture. The transmitter 12 can wirelessly transmit a control signal CS for remotely controlling the function of the medical device. The processor 14 causes the transmitting unit to transmit the control signal when the sensor detects the gesture G corresponding to the gesture information.
