PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of laying a lawn using a vegetation sheet capable of solving problems that transportation cost is high and a lot of workers are required to carry out a laying operation, and preventing a lawn seedling from falling off during transportation and laying operation.SOLUTION: A method of laying a lawn comprises a step of laying a vegetation sheet 6 obtained by holding a lawn seedling 7 with two water-soluble resin films 81 and 82 on a place to be laid. (1) Each of the two water-soluble resin films comprises polyvinyl alcohol resin. (2) During 24 hours before and after the laying, a step of watering one or more times the place to be laid and/or the vegetation sheet after the laying is carried out.
