PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of manual selection when a user selects a tomographic image indicating the features of a finding and a tomographic image to show in a report from three-dimensional medical images.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus has a means to acquire the noteworthy finding of a medical image, a means to calculate the image feature quantity of a type associated with the noteworthy finding beforehand for each of a plurality of tomographic images of the medical image and a means to specify one tomographic image from the plurality of tomographic images based on the calculated image feature quantity.
