PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device including flexibility at a distal side and high rigidity at a proximal side and, when being curved, capable of favorably preventing a reinforcing member from breaking through a covering part.SOLUTION: A medical device 1 includes: a sheath 21 for image including a lumen 21a for image； a sheath 22 for a guide wire including a guide wire lumen 22a in which a guide wire W can insert； a covering part 23 for connecting the sheath for image at a proximal side to the guide wire sheath； and a reinforcing member 24 to be embedded in the inside of the covering part.
