An immuno-modulating composition for use in the orally-administered treatment and/or prophylaxis of a disorder selected from the group consisting of diabetes, non alcoholic fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis, comprising as an active ingredient； bovine colostrum, and a bovine colostrum immunoglobulin preparation comprising anti-insulin antibodies, wherein the bovine colostrum immunoglobulin preparation is obtained from a bovine immunized with insulin and modulates regulatory T cells, thereby activating or inhibiting an immune response specifically directed toward said disorder.
