The present invention is directed to a dual phase mouth washcomposition comprising a hydrophilic phase, a hydrophobic phase, and ahydrotrope,and methods of use thereof. The hydrophilic and hydrophobic phases remainseparated and form a temporary emulsion when mixed. The emulsion spontaneouslyreverts back to the two original phases after rest, without the formation ofanemulsion.
