The invention relates to an elastomeric film-forming composition comprising (a) a polymer comprising chlorobutadiene units and one or more carboxylic acid residues or esters thereof, (b) a second elastomer selected from the group consisting of nitrile rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, polyisoprene, polychloroprene, polybutadiene, polyvinylchloride, polyurethane, styrene diblock copolymers, styrene triblock copolymers, acrylic polymers and mixtures thereof in an amount of 65% or less by weight of the polymer content of the composition, and (c) one or more cross-linking agents.
