PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods, machines, computer systems, computable readable media and kits for predicting effectiveness of topoisomerase I (topo I) inhibitors in a treatment of cancers.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to methods, machines, computer systems, computable readable media and kits usable for determining phosphorylation of polypeptide of topoisomerase I polypeptide at residue serine 10 (S10).
