PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body assist device capable of enhancing workability in a standing state.SOLUTION: A body assist device 1 includes a frame structure 10 configured so that a user's hands can be placed on it, a seat 20 supported by the frame structure 10, and an adjusting part 30 capable of adjusting the position of the seat 20 with respect to the frame structure 10. The seat 20 can support the waist of the user at least at a first position or a second position by the change in the position with respect to the frame structure 10 by the adjusting part 30. The first position is the position in which the seat is moved rearward with respect to the end surface 12C in front in the frame structure 10, and the waist of the user taking a seated posture can be supported.
