The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a promoter or an activator of leptin receptor signal sequence expression as an active ingredient for preventing or treating obesity, and to a screening method thereof. The promoter or the activator of the leptin receptor signal sequence expression can be used as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating obesity, by promoting the activation or the expression of the leptin receptor signal sequence, and increasing leptin actions. In addition, a medicine for treating obesity can be effectively developed by using the screening method of the promoter or the activator of leptin receptor signal sequence expression in fat cells, and specifically selecting drugs for promoting or activating the leptin receptor signal sequence expression.본 발명은 렙틴 수용체 신호 서열(signal sequence) 발현 촉진제 또는 활성화제를 유효성분으로 함유하는 비만 예방 또는 치료용 약학조성물 및 이의 스크리닝 방법에 관한 것으로, 렙틴 수용체 신호 서열(signal sequence) 발현 촉진제 또는 활성화제는 렙틴 수용체 신호 서열의 발현 또는 활성화를 촉진시킴으로써, 렙틴작용을 증가시켜 비만을 예방하거나, 치료하는 약학조성물로 사용할 수 있다. 또한 지방세포에서 렙틴 수용체 신호 서열(signal sequence) 발현 촉진제 또는 활성화제의 스크리닝 방법을 이용하면 렙틴 수용체 신호 서열(signal sequence)발현을 촉진 또는 활성화하는 약물을 특이적으로 선별할 수 있어, 비만 치료제를 효과적으로 개발할 수 있다.
