An orthopedic brace and method of making the same includes a wrap memberhaving a first and second layer. The first layer includes a first sheet and asecond sheet in alaterally spaced apart relationship. Each sheet has an inner side edge and aninner panel portionwhich extends the length of the corresponding sheet along the correspondinginner side edge.The second layer has first and second side edges, a first overlay portionextending the length ofthe second layer adjacent the first side edge and overlapping the firstsheets panel portion, asecond overlay portion extending the length of the second layer adjacent thesecond side edgeand overlapping the second sheets panel portion, and a center portion thatbridges the overlayportions. The layers are stitched together along spaced apart sets of seams.
