PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that facilitates raising three-dimensional gathers when wearing the absorbent article.SOLUTION: An absorbent article in which a pair of side sheets 20 is disposed in both left and right sides in a width direction of an absorbing body 10. At least one auxiliary elastic member 30 is attached in each of the pair of side sheets 20. The auxiliary elastic member 30 has a base end 31 positioned in a bonding area 22 of the side sheet 20, and a tip 32 positioned in a free portion 23c of a standing area 23 of the side sheet 20.
