PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultivation apparatus comprising a box having a root housing chamber constructed therein, the cultivation apparatus making it possible to avoid any appearance of dirt such as algae or the like in a liquid supplied to the root housing chamber.SOLUTION: A cultivation apparatus 1 of the present invention comprises a storage tank 2 which stores a liquid L, a hollow lower plate 5 which has an upper surface that is open, and an upper plate 6 which hermetically closes an opening of the lower plate 5. An interior of the lower plate 5 forms a root housing chamber S which accommodates a root of a plant P. The cultivation apparatus 1 includes a box in which the lower plate 5 is immersed in the liquid L in the storage tank 2, and supply/discharge means 4 which is provided in order that via a through-hole 7 penetrating through the lower plate 5, the liquid L in the storage tank 2 is supplied to the root housing chamber S and the liquid L in the root housing chamber S is discharged to the storage tank 2.【課題】根収納室が内部に構成されるボックスを備えた栽培装置であって、根収納室に供給される液体に、藻等の汚れが生じることを防止可能な栽培装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の栽培装置１は、液体Ｌを貯留する貯留槽２と、上面が開口した中空の下板５と、下板５の開口を密閉する上板６とを有し、下板５の内部が植物Ｐの根を収納する根収納室Ｓを構成し、下板５が貯留槽２の液体Ｌに浸漬されるボックスと、下板５を貫通する貫通孔７を通じて、貯留槽２内の液体Ｌを根収納室Ｓに供給し、根収納室Ｓ内の液体Ｌを貯留槽２に排出するための供排手段４と、を備える。【選択図】図１
