Embodiments of a radially collapsible and expandable prosthetic heart valvearedisclosed. A valve frame can have a tapered profile when mounted on a deliveryshaft, with aninflow end portion having a smaller diameter than an outflow end portion. Thevalve cancomprise generally V-shaped leaflets, reducing material within the inflow endof the frame. Anouter skirt can be secured to the outside of the inflow end portion of theframe, the outer skirthaving longitudinal slack when the valve is expanded and lying flat againstthe frame when thevalve is collapsed. A diagonally woven inner skirt can elongate axially withthe frame. Sidetabs of adjacent leaflets can extend through and be secured to window frameportions of theframe to form commissures. The window frame portions can be depressed radiallyinwardrelative to surrounding frame portions when the valve is crimped onto adelivery shaft.
