An optical coherence tomographic apparatus which obtains a tomographic image by combining return light from an object irradiated with measurement light through a first lens and corresponding reference light, comprising: a scanning unit configured to be provided on an optical path of the measurement light and to scan the measurement light on the object a second lens configured to be disposed between the scanning unit and the first lens on the optical path of the measurement light a branching unit configured to be disposed between the first and second lenses and to make the optical path of the measurement light branch off to an observation optical path for observation of the object wherein the second lens and the scanning unit are disposed so as to hold an incident angle of the measurement light scanned by the scanning unit on the branching unit.
