To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus or the like capable of acquiring the non-multiplexed images of a high distance resolution from a short distance to a long distance when imaging harmonic components.
SOLUTION: By performing ultrasonic transmission so that waveforms are evenly symmetrical in the view of a time base and DC harmonic components and secondary harmonic components are generated by the same phase and made to overlap with each other. Thus and merged harmonic components comprising the secondary harmonic components and the DC harmonic components are allowed to have an ideal spectrum distribution having a peak near the center. By performing imaging using the merged harmonic components and the non-multiplexed images of the high distance resolution from the short distance to the long distance are acquired.
