PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fold retaining mechanism capable of stably maintaining a folded state, and also having a good user-friendliness.SOLUTION: A fold retaining mechanism 100 provided by the present invention includes: a supporting member 80 provided at a lower part of a seat a stopper 90 disposed in the left side or the right side from a leg 30, and supported so as to be swingable or slidable in the right and left to the supporting member 80 and an elastic body connected to the supporting member 80 and the stopper 90, and biasing the stopper 90 to the portion arranged with the leg 30 among the left portion and the right portion. The stopper 90 is formed at the side arranged with the leg 30 among the left side and right side, and has an engagement part 96 engaging with the leg 30 when folded.
