PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize imaging conditions of main scanning by referring to a processing result of a support diagnosis.SOLUTION: A medical imaging apparatus includes an image generation part, a detection part, a diagnosis support processing part, a setting part and an imaging control part. The image generation part generates image data of a subject. The detection part detects each of a plurality of regions of the subject in the image data generated as a positioning image. The diagnosis support processing part performs diagnosis support processing corresponding to a specific region of the subject which is detected by the detection part regarding an area corresponding to the specific region in the image data. The setting part sets imaging conditions of main scanning for a regions in which a lesion region is identified in the plurality of regions as a processing result of the diagnosis support processing part.
