PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the flexibility of portions near wearer-side edges of erection parts erecting to the wearer side in a pair of sidewall parts of an absorbent article.
SOLUTION: In this absorbent article 1, a plurality of elastic members 32 that extend in parallel to each other along the longitudinal direction and are disposed in the respective erection parts 432 of the pair of sidewall parts 34 at some interval apart are joined to positions separated from the wearer-side edges 3431 of the erection parts 342, so that portions near the wearer-side edges 3431 of the erection parts 342 become non-elastic portions 3421 with no elasticity and the portions separated from the wearer-side edges 3431 of the erection parts 342 become elastic portions 3422 with elasticity. This constitution can improve the flexibility of the portions near the wearer-side edges 3431 of the erection parts 342 and prevent the elastic members 32 provided at the erection parts 342 from strongly abutting on the wearers skin. Consequently, this constitution can improve the wearing property of the absorbent article 1.
