PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for treating food waste are provided to obtain byproducts and organic fertilizer from food waste by obtaining dehydrated liquid from the food waste through a pre-treating process and treating the dehydrated liquid. CONSTITUTION: Byproducts of ferric chloride, sodium hydroxide, and brown gas are obtained by electrolyzing the dehydrated liquid of food waste. A fermenting accelerator is generated. The fermenting accelerator is mixed with solid products from the food waste to be fermented, and fertilizer is obtained. A process for generating the fermenting accelerator includes the following: admixture is prepared by mixing rice bran, sesame dregs, and fish meal； mixing liquid is formed based on molasses, water, and EM； the admixture and the mixing liquid are mixed； the mixture is introduced into a first container； the first container is introduced into a second container； both containers are sealed； and the mixture is fermented and stored at a dark and dry place.본 발명은 음식물쓰레기의 처리 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로,반입된 음식물 쓰레기를 처리함에 있어서, 전처리 과정인 분쇄 단계(등록특허 10-0900519호) 및 분리 단계(공개번호 10-2011-0018620호)와 전기탈수 단계(등록특허 10-0507686호)를 거쳐 최종적으로 얻어진 탈수액과 고형물 중에서 탈수액은 전기 분해 과정을 통하여 염화철, 수산화나트륨(가성소다), 브라운 가스의 부산물을 얻게 되고, 발효촉진제 생성하는 단계에서 얻어진 발효촉진제를 상기 고형물과 혼합하여 유기질 비료를 얻게 되며, 상기 부산물 및 유기질 비료를 얻는 과정에서 발생 되는 유화수소, 메르캅탄류, 암모니아, 아민류 등의 유해가스를 여과 필터를 통하여 제거하게 되는 유해가스 제거하는 단계를 부가하여 이루어짐으로써 염화철, 수산화나트륨, 브라운 가스의 부산물과 유기질 비료를 얻게 되는 음식물쓰레기의 처리방법 및 장치를 제공하고자 하는 것이다.
