PURPOSE: A bathing composition for treating and alleviating atopy is provided to enable penetration into dermis as well as epidermis without side effects, to remove toxicity, and to treat and alleviate atopic dermatitis. CONSTITUTION: A bathing composition for treating and alleviating atopy contains extracts of Angelica gigas Nakai, Astragalus membranaceus BUNGE, Dioscorea batatas, Taraxacum platycarpum, and Eriobotrya japonica Lindl. as active ingredients. The bathing composition contains 1-20 wt% of Angelica gigas Nakai, 1-20 wt% of Astragalus membranaceus BUNGE, 1-20 wt% of Dioscorea batatas, 10-40 wt% of Taraxacum platycarpum, and 10-40 wt% of Eriobotrya japonica Lindl. The bathing composition additionally contains one or more additives selected from among herbs, perfumes, pyroligneous liquor, charcoal, and dyes. A method for manufacturing the bathing composition comprises the steps of: extracting Angelica gigas Nakai, Astragalus membranaceus BUNGE, Dioscorea batatas, Taraxacum platycarpum, and Eriobotrya japonica Lindl. with hot water； and drying the hot water extract.
