PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the position of a displaced optical fiber which emits light in an optical scanning endoscope.

SOLUTION: The optical scanning endoscope apparatus includes a light source unit, a light feeding fiber 53, a fiber driving part, a half mirror, a position detecting filter 75, a position detecting fiber, and a light receiving unit. The fiber driving part displaces the optical feeding fiber by bending the distal end of the optical feeding fiber. The light source unit feeds red light and blue light to the incident end of the light feeding fiber at different times. The half mirror is disposed on the light path of the light emitted from the distal end of the light feeding fiber. The half mirror reflects 10% of the total light quantity, and transmits the remaining light quantity. The position detection filter is disposed in the direction of reflection of light. The position detecting filter transmits red light and blue light at different transmittances according to the positions of the incident red light and blue light. The position detecting fiber transmits the red light and blue light penetrating the position detecting filter to the light receiving unit.
