PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collagen production promoter comprising a plant-derived component that promotes production of collagen from collagen production cells and is friendly to the body, a cosmetic and an oral composition for collagen production promotion.
SOLUTION: The collagen production promoter comprises a seed extract of passion fruit as an active ingredient. Preferably the seed extract of passion fruit is extracted with hot water or ethanol-containing water. The cosmetic comprises the seed extract of passion fruit. The seed extract of passion fruit is made into a product as an oral composition for collagen production promotion.
