PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage lid that effectively prevents fracture and deformation, and provide an animal breeding cage with the cage lid.SOLUTION: A cage lid includes a frame part 21 formed in a substantially rectangular frame-shape, and a grating part 24 formed in a grid pattern so that multiple vertical crossbars 25 disposed at predetermined intervals substantially in parallel to each other so as to connect between one opposed sides in the internal periphery of the frame part may intersect with multiple cross rails 26 intersecting with the vertical crossbars 25. A synthetic resin cage lid 20 is provided for covering an upper surface opening of a box-shaped cage body 30 with an upper surface opened, and is provided with a closing part 28 for closing the opening of a rectangular opening 27 being a gap area between the vertical crossbars 25 and the cross rails 26 in the four corners of the grating part 24.
