The injection device 1 further comprises an interlock having a locked position in which activation of the drive mechanism 40 by the trigger 70 is prevented and an unlocked position in which the drive mechanism 40 may be activated. The interlock arrangement is moved to the unlocked position by relative axial movement of the forward and rearward body 20, 30 caused by the injection device 1 being urged against an injection site. The injection device 1 further comprises an interlock hold arrangement associated with a forward facing skin abutment surface of the injection device 1.
