PURPOSE: Provide is a bed soil compression battery charger capable of compressively filling the bed soil in each cell of saplings trays with the same compressive force. CONSTITUTION: A body (10) is provided with a driving motor (14). A tray conveyor for transport (20) transfers a tray (100) by driving force of the driving motor, with forming a rib (22) at regular intervals on the surface. A bed soil top conveyor for transport (40) transfers the bed soil existing on a hopper (42) to the tray conveyor for transport by the driving force of the driving motor. A compression rod moves downward by driving of a cylinder (60) and presses to make the bed soil on the tray harden within the cell of the tray cell. A limiter switch detects contact of the tray conveyor for transport with a rib. A conveyor for collecting surplus bed soil (30) again transfers the bed soil falling down from the tray conveyor for transport to the hopper.
