SOLUTION: This medical apparatus includes: an endoscope 3 having a CCD 30, a suction hole 32A and an air sending hole 33A at the distal end 11A of an insertion section 11 a suction section 17 sucking fluid from the interior of the large intestine 4 via the suction hole 32 an air sending section 16 sending the fluid to the interior of the large intestine 4 via the air sending hole 33A a discrimination section 42 discriminating the dilation state of the large intestine 4 and a control section 41 controlling the suction section 17 and the air sending section 16 based on the dilation state of the large intestine 4 discriminated by the discrimination section 42.
