PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a control of a sorting and collecting system.SOLUTION: A sorting and collecting system comprises a plurality of collection sections and sorts a number of articles and collects the same in the corresponding collection sections on the basis of physical properties thereof. The system includes: a plurality of types of measuring/inspecting devices for measuring or detecting various physical properties of each article therefrom and creating physical property data from each of the measured or detected physical properties a first calculating unit for virtually attaching the various physical property data of each article to the corresponding article, upon receiving the physical property data from the measuring/inspecting devices and second calculating units respectively corresponding to each collection section.
