To provide a hallux valgus corrector capable of applying external force in the varus direction to the hallux and in the valgus direction to a first metatarsal bone and capable of applying external force for correcting a twist to the first metatarsal bone as well.
SOLUTION: The hallux valgus corrector has a lever function including: an action bar 1 attached along a side of the hallux 6 by an action bar strap 1 without hindering the joint function of the hallux 6 a coupling part 4 formed of right and left side plates 4 holding an end of the action bar 1 and turnable via a pin 3 as the axis to abut ON the bone head 7 of first metatarsal bone with one side position as the fulcrum position a base bar 2 formed in a shape along the arch of the plantar arch from an end of the coupling part 4, integrally formed so that the bar can be tightly bound by a base bar strap 2 to a side of the foot. With this structure, the hallux valgus corrector can apply the external force in the varus direction to the hallux tip and the external force in the valgus direction to first metatarsal bone and can also apply the external force to correct the twist to the hallux tip and to first metatarsal bone.
