The present invention features a pharmaceutical composition used for reducing the damage caused by free radicals, which comprises at least a metal or its ions, at least a drug or an antioxidant that is carrier-protected/modified, and a drug carrier. Said carrier helps to preserve the anti-oxidative activity, and hence, prevents the decrease of the effect of the antioxidant against free radicals produced in the environment or body fluids and prolongs protection, and may be used for reducing damage caused by radiation and adverse effects induced by chemotherapeutic drugs.본 발명은 자유라디칼에 의한 손상을 줄이기 위한 약학 조성물을 특징으로 한다. 이 약학 조성물은 적어도 하나의 금속이나 금속 이온과 적어도 하나의 전달체를 보호하고 개량된 산화방지제나 약물 그리고 하나의 약물 전달체를 포함한다. 상기 전달체는 항산화성을 보존하는 것을 돕는다. 그리고 더 나아가 환경이나 체액에서 생성된 자유라디칼에 반하여 산화방지제의 효과 감소를 예방하고 보호를 연장시킨다. 그리고 항암제로 야기된 부작용과 방사선에 의한 손상을 감소시키는데 사용될 수도 있다.
