FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, specifically to a method and a device for determining human blood vessel size. At that, the wall of the measured blood vessel is pierced through with a thin bent needle so that the bent straight sock is located along the inner wall of the vessel in the direction of its axis, and the bent back end of the needle is inserted into the socket of the holder, providing arrangement of the straight middle part of the needle perpendicularly to the axis of the blood vessel. Display shows the value of wall thickness of the measured blood vessel. Size of the inner diameter of the vessel is calculated as the difference between the value of the external diameter of the vessel and double wall thickness. Needle with an electrically conducting tip is used. Needle can move forward and backwards by means of the electric drive. Movement "forward" is terminated at occurrence of electric contact between bent needle and needle with electroconductive tip. When measuring an external diameter of a blood vessel, the external surface of the measured blood vessel is touched by a bent needle. Measurement result is obtained by touching needle with electrically conductive tip of diametrically opposite blood vessel surface. Device comprises a thin curved needle, a processor, a control unit, a needle with an electrically conductive tip, an electric drive, an indicator and a speaker. Bent needle has a bent pointed toe, bent at 90° degrees, bent at a right angle or angle up to 90° and a straight middle section, is fixed in the holder. Outlets of thin curved needle and needle with electrically conductive tip are connected to processor first and second inputs, respectively. Third input of the processor is connected to the output of the control unit. First and second outputs of the processor are connected respectively to an electric drive, an indicator and a speaker.EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measurements is achieved.2 cl, 1 dwgГ
