Disclosed is a driver condition detecting device and a driver condition informing device detecting inattentive or incursive driving by analysing movements of a head and eyeball of a driver during driving. When the head and the eyeball of the driver are determined not to be facing forward and the vestibulo ocular reflex movement is not detected, a CPU recognises inattentive driving and informs the driver. Furthermore, even though the head and the eyes of the driver are determined as facing forward, inattentive driving is detected by the CPU when the angle-of-convergence of the eye with respect to a forward direction lies above a threshold (i.e. the driver is looking away from the road).Linvention concerne un dispositif de détection de létat du conducteur et un dispositif dinformation sur létat du conducteur qui détecte une conduite inattentive ou imprudente en fonction des mouvements de la tête et dun globe oculaire du conducteur pendant la conduite. LUC (7), même sil est déterminé que la tête et le globe oculaire du conducteur sont orientés vers lavant, détecte un angle de convergence et détermine et informe dune conduite inattentive lorsque langle de convergence se situe au-dessus dun seuil.
