Abstract “Bicyclic nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic amide compound” is proposed as a compound useful as an agent for treating breast cancer. As a result of intensive studies of a compound with inhibitory effect against the complex ie and activating effect of ampk, the present inventors have found that the bicyclic nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic amide compounds of the present invention have excellent inhibitory effect against the complex ie. ampk, furthermore, have inhibitory against cell proliferation with regard not only to human pik3ca mutation positive breast cancer cell lines in which mct4 is not expressed but also to human breast cancer cell lines without human mutation. pik3ca in which mct4 is not expressed and demonstrate antitumor effect on cells of the mda-mb-453 breast cancer cell line positive for pik3ca mutation in a cancer mouse in which mct4 is not expressed, thus establishing the present invention.
