The present invention relates to a mosquito repelling apparatus and a mosquito repelling method using the same. The mosquito repelling apparatus comprises: an oscillation unit which generates a frequency signal in a frequency band that mosquitoes and harmful insects avoid； an output unit which outputs lighting having a predetermined frequency that mosquitoes and harmful insects avoid and makes the lighting flicker based on the frequency signal generated by the oscillation unit outputs sound in a relevant frequency band based on the frequency signal generated by the oscillation unit, or making the lighting of the predetermined frequency simultaneously flicker and outputting the sound in the relevant frequency band based on the frequency signal generated by the oscillation unit； and a control unit which determines whether at least one of the sound and the lighting should be turned on or off by controlling the output unit and controls the frequency signal, generated by the oscillation unit, as time elapses.
