PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for protecting infants from infection by respiratory syncytium virus (RSV) and Bordetella pertussis.SOLUTION: The method for protecting an infant from infection by respiratory syncytium virus (RSV) and Bordetella pertussis comprises administering to a pregnant woman an immunogenic composition comprising a recombinant RSV antigen including F protein analog and at least one acellular pertussis antigen selected from the group consisting of pertussis toxoid (PT), filamentous hemagglutinin (FHA), pertactin (PRN), fimbriae types 2 and 3 (FIM2, FIM3) and BrkA to elicit maternal antibodies specific for RSV and pertussis, which antibodies are transferred to the gestational infant via the placenta, thereby protecting the infant from infection by RSV and Bordetella pertussis following birth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】呼吸器合胞体ウイルス（ＲＳＶ）及び百日咳菌による感染から乳児を防御するための方法の提供。【解決手段】Ｆタンパク質類似体を含む組換えＲＳＶ抗原と、百日咳キソイド（ＰＴ）、糸状赤血球凝集素（ＦＨＡ）、パータクチン（ＰＲＮ）、２型線毛（ＦＩＭ２）、３型線毛（ＦＩＭ３）及びＢｒｋＡからなる群より選択される少なくとも１つの無細胞百日咳抗原を含む免疫原性組成物を妊婦に投与することにより、生じたＲＳＶ特異的抗体及び百日咳特異的抗体が胎盤を介して在胎児に移行し、それによって、乳児をＲＳＶ及び百日咳菌による感染から防御する方法。【選択図】図１
