PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip which absorbs impacts and vibrations given by the collision of a product with other articles to bring the highest feeling, and has a light weight and a low density.SOLUTION: There are provided the grip for being used for the grip portion of a product, especially the grip of a fishing rod or golf club, and a method for producing the grip. The grip preferably contains a multi-layered grip member and an inside sleeve, namely an attaching body. The grip member may preferably contain an outside layer having a cloth layer coated with a polyurethane or preferably impregnated with a polyurethane. The outside layer is adhered to an inside layer to form the grip member, and the grip member is then attached to a sleeve.
