The present invention relates to a method for controlling the screen display of a user terminal and the user terminal using the same. According to the present invention, the method includes the steps of: detecting a distance between the user terminal and a user； detecting the use time of the user terminal； and displaying information, displayed on a screen of the user terminal, to be larger than an original size or to be in an out-of-focus form in which a near-sighted person sees if the distance is shorter than a reference distance and the use time is equal to or longer than a reference time. According to the present invention, while the information which the user watches is continuously provided, the user can voluntarily move away from the user terminal.본 발명은 사용자 단말의 화면 표시 제어 방법 및 이를 이용한 사용자 단말에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 방법은 사용자 단말과 사용자 간의 거리를 검출하는 단계, 사용자 단말의 사용 시간을 검출하는 단계, 그리고 거리가 기준 거리 미만이고, 사용 시간이 기준 시간 이상이면, 사용자 단말의 화면에 표시되는 정보를 원본 크기보다 확대하거나 근시 진행자가 보이는 초점 이탈 형태로 표시하는 단계를 포함한다. 본 발명에 의하면, 사용자가 보고 있던 정보는 연속적으로 제공하면서도 자발적으로 사용자 단말에서 멀어질 수 있게 한다.
